Steve, spectacular fingers and such a profound delicate touch that transcends so many venues of spectoral sound. Uplifting, energetic, delightful, soulful, inspriational, emotional, wonderful to behold.

I'm privileged to love my friend, Stevie C!
Round' this time of the year I invariably slap on the SKOL bros. and LAST HOLDOUTS tunes to rekindle my appreciation of this fucking OUTSTANDING music . It reflects the brilliant soul and uniquely creative nature of my buddy and the other skilled artists whose support illuminates this luscious body of work/love. I couldn't help this rant and I surely don't want to sound like it's a review. I'm simply enriched and appreciate this artistry

Hi Steve,
I see that you will be in Astoria on Sunday (Liberty Theater). We will not be in town (dang), but will try to see you if you ever return to the coast. So great to read about you on this site! I still think of you and my MHCC days fondly -- they will always be an important chapter in my life.

You probably don't remember me. It's been almost 40 years since Malcom's group at Mhcc. But I was cleaning out my garage last week and found an old studio tape of the vocal jazz ensemble that I thought I lost decades ago and as rough as it was it reminded how much of a prodigy and a blessing you were to all of us back then. If memory serves me right, you hadn't even been playing a year back then and already played like a seasoned pro. Your creativity was jaw dropping and with all of that you were humble, gracious, and a hell of a nice guy. I hope the years have been good to you. I'm excited to listen to what you're doing now and over the years.

Steve,
Terry Simons here, and I have an inquiry as well as a proposition. I now run a Print On Demand publishing venture called Round Bend Press (roundbendpress.blogspot.com)and I'm seeking out new projects for 2011. Would you be interested in publishing (scores, journals, reminiscences, anecdotes) via such a project? I've just finished re-publishing K.C.'s book of poetry, An Establishment of Change, with another volume in the planning stages, and he mentioned this idea. K.C. has invested some resources with Round Bend, and I sincerely think this is a winning idea. I look forward to hearing from you, pro or con.
Best,
Terry Simons

Dear Steve! I am a professional jazz musician from Israel. We met with you in Tel Aviv after your concert with Nancy King. Then I came to You, picked up and played a little on your melodica. . I really like your style on this instrument, and it is you sound better than others. Personally, I started to play the melodica once heard Jack De Jonnett Playing - it sounded like Coltrane! Now I'm busy searching for it blues style to the melodica, and on this occasion to write to the Hohner company, proposing the idea to create a melodica especially for the blues. Here is a video of my playing with the blues group. How do you think might bring sound of melodica to the harp?
